The purpose of this policy is to set out Bradley Blair Osteopathy approach to service provision during the Covid-19 pandemic and the way in which the principles of this will be put into practice.
With the heightened awareness, anxiety and risk of contact and droplet spread between members of the public and practitioner(me)/patient contact that I will be putting into practice. These procedures will address known and unknown risks with varying levels of evidence and value to help provide a safer environment for all.
The following steps will be in practice to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19
- Under no circumstances will Bradley Blair Osteopathy knowingly allow members of the public/patients into clinic with cold or flu symptoms that not have been tested for Covid-19
- Patients with Covid-19 will not be treated at the clinic and asked to stay at home in line with isolation and quarantine guidelines.
- In some cases, patients who display cold and flu symptoms and who have tested negative for Covid-19 may be treated. This will be down to the mutual discretion and consent of the patient and I
The following procedures will help limit unknown risk of contact and droplet spread. Theses procedures are a guideline. Individuals can take further measures should they require or request them. All adults are responsible for their own safety and will be allowed to take the measures they feel comfortable with.
Clinic Hygiene/Treatment room
Cleaning measures have been taken, these include frequent cleaning of contact surfaces, door handles, toilets, card machines. Hand washing will be encouraged when coming into clinic.
I will be wearing a face mask. The level of PPE required is at my discreation if patients do feel comfortable with level of PPE treatment will be stopped.
Patients can wear PPE that they feel comfortable with in treatment room. I will not be providing PPE for patients.
